In September of 2014, the Your Fellow Americans team visited the home of a Lakota Indian family to hear their thoughts on race, immigration, and the American Dream. Our hosts for the evening were Patti & Robert Nelson. Patti was born and raised in Bullhead, South Dakota, a small village in the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. Their daughter, Gaylene, was the one who introduced us to her family and invited the crew to join the family around the dinner table for discussion. Gaylene’s brother, Bobby, also shared his experiences as a Lakota Indian.
This third video with the Crouser family focuses on the family’s conversation around immigration.
